    Principal Design Features
    A wrought nickel-molybdenum alloy that can be used in the as welded condition. It is highly resistant to all concentrations and temperatures of hydrochloric acid. Also resistant to stress corrosion cracking and pitting. Because of the high molybdenum

    Welding The alloy is readily weldable by all methods and may be used in the as welded condition.
    Heat Treatment
    Solution treated at 1950 F and rapid quenched. This is the normal condition in which the product forms are furnished and used. Bright annealed product forms (sheet & strip) are solution treated at 2100 F and then cooled in a hydrogen atmosphere to preve
    Forging Readily forged at temperatures 2250 F to 1800 F.
    Hot Working Can be hot worked by conventional means.
    Cold Working Can be readily cold worked by conventional means.
    Annealing Anneal following extensive work hardening due to cold working by 1950 F soak followed by rapid quench. Note that bright finish parts must be solution annealed and rapid cooled in an inert (argon gas) or reducing (hydrogen) atmosphere to prevent surface o
